Making the Most of a Small Space

Check out the creative use of space by one Canadian based coffee company.  The world’s smallest café resides on a busy street, tucked away under the stairwell.

Filling a space that would typically go unused, this café is in the direct path of daily subway commuters looking to grab their cup of Joe on the run.   Having a more stable, albeit small, location gives this coffee shop added comfort and convenience for both its customers and employees.

This tiny café is just one example of how companies are repurposing space in an effort to save money.  We agree with AG’s statement that, “creative measures for existing spaces is something we predict will become more common as retailers suffer in a bad economy, but need ways that are unique and cost effective to expand their offering.”
