Conscious Capitalism: Creating Value for all Stakeholders
Since the financial crisis of 2007, capitalism has suffered an increasingly negative rap. Stories of corruption and greed have filled the news, leaving little room for trust in large corporations.
While listening to NPR a few weeks ago, I stumbled across an interview with John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, discussing the Conscious Capitalism movement. As the interview unfolded, it dawned on me that this is exactly what all of us at iCORE have been driving towards for the past 25 years.
Having worked with hundreds of commercial real estate companies throughout my career, I can attest to the fact that many are too focused on their short-term financial gains, often ignoring the well-being of their clients.
iCORE Global was founded to bring a platform to the world market that is proven to work, bring it back and in force, to raise the bar and say the words with confidence, “yes, Mr. Client I am your advocate, I am not conflicted, my business model isn’t preventing me from meeting my fiduciary responsibilities. We have succeeded!”
When designing iCORE, we set our sights beyond providing returns for our shareholders and focused on creating value for all stakeholders; clients, team members, services providers, occupiers and suppliers. This win-win model differentiates us from the pack, setting us up for long-term success.
Pride of Ownership is the only true regulator of quality and creator of positive peer pressure. That is why we have built pride of ownership into the very heart of iCORE. We attract and retain leaders that understand the tremendous opportunity and value inherent in our performance-driven model.
These leaders are joining with us as we bring back the trust and respect for capitalism and prove that we can be both successful and a force for good in the world.
As Woodrow Wilson once remarked, “We are not here to merely earn a living and to create value for our shareholders. We are here to enrich the world and make it a finer place to live. We will impoverish ourselves if we fail to do so.”
